The Climate Technology Ecosystem
MAKE THINGS HAPPEN
We think that the current climate technology ecosystem - founders, funders, corporates, investors and policymakers - is too fragmented. We know we are not the only ones feeling it.
We don’t have all the answers. Nobody does.
But we do have informed questions, a diverse network of people, and direct experience in the field.
We are now putting the ‘gaps and bridges’ framework to the test — in conversation with individuals and organisations with skills and experience in the following areas: climate finance, government policy, intellectual property, community building and startup funding. Last but not least climate entrepreneurs — what do they need to succeed?
The document below lays out some of the larger gaps that we have identified, alongside over 60 organizations that have influenced us. We hope, therefore, to bridge some of those gaps.
New PATHWAYS NEEDED
A robust ecosystem should benefit all of its members, and accelerate our collective response to the climate crisis. Now we want your help to explore bridges to cross these gaps. We have two asks, if you're with us.
Reality Check. This document is intended to be the start of a conversation. We invite your challenges (please don't hold back) and your questions (we're listening). Did we call it correctly? Does our collective take match your experience?
Participation. We're here to help solve your problems, if we can. Concretely, what you or your organisation most need right now, and what could you contribute in return, towards building a healthier climate technology ecosystem?
