TEDx were looking for an expert facilitator and strategic collaboration to help activate our Climate Action Initiative to help us build a more prosperous, sustainable, creative, fairer and healthier future through disrupting old sectors with new sustainable technology centric ideas.
The Brief
What we did
The TEDxGlasgow Partners Climate Action Initiative is a growing and diverse group of 18 organisations consisting of private and public organisations across diverse sectors including communications, transport, food and drink, power generation, consultancy, local and national government. Through regular monthly meetings and on-going communication, we fostered a community of individuals and organisations who wouldn’t have normally interacted with each other.
We set out to share to inspire and achieve accelerated action towards Net Zero over 12 months through identifying opportunities for collaboration and learning. We are excited by some of the interesting cross-sector collaborations that were initiated, such as one project connecting the often opposing worlds of academic climate justice and corporate sustainability.
The Climate Action Initiative allowed ideas worth spreading from one sector of our collective system to another and curated a space for honest conversations about both the challenges and opportunities faced by organisations navigating the climate emergency.
