What do we do when we're running out of time? We run faster!

We are calling on everyone – from national government to local government; from individuals to communities; from schools to businesses – to work together to protect our world now and for future generations.

The relay will travel through 50 cities & towns and a range of National Parks and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and will feature visits to historic landmarks, stunning natural sites, schools, universities, community projects, cutting edge technology, sporting venues and a host of different and crazy ways to move the baton!

The Running Out of Time Relay is Britain’s biggest sporting celebration of climate action and nature. Taking place between June 10 and July 11th, thousands of runners, walkers, wheelers and cyclists will relay the baton 2661 km from Ben Nevis to Big Ben!

The relay travels through 50 cities and towns - and some of our most beautiful countryside - visiting initiatives of every scale that confront the climate crisis and preserve, restore and protect our nature and wildlife.

It features historic landmarks, stunning natural sites, schools, universities, community projects, cutting edge technology and sporting venues. And a host of different and crazy ways to move the baton which will be run, walked, cycled, swum, surfed, paddled, skied, para-glided, dragon boated and Morris danced along the way!

It should be magical, inspirational, joyous and epic and we’d love you to join us! Please sign up now at https://running-out-of-time.com/ - and show your support for climate action and the natural world!

Dan was the founder and Chair of Gold Challenge, which launched in late 2010 and ran an Olympic and Paralympic inspired challenge in the run up to London 2012. Gold Challenge partnered with the British Olympic Association, Team GB, Paralympics GB and Sport England and was part of the official London 2012 mass participation legacy programme. Gold Challenge also worked closely with LOCOG and hosted one of the pre-Games test events in the Olympic Stadium. More than 200 schools and 100 corporates took part and in excess of £1.5 million was raised for Gold Challenge’s 150 charity partners.

Dan has launched a personal challenge title, Run the World. This started as a challenge to run 10km in all 206 countries in the world and raise funds for Cancer Research. It grew to encompass school talks around the world, built relationships with local running groups, charities and NGOs, and the creation of the Run the World Fund.

In business, Dan was a successful executive, investor and adviser in the music, computer and video games, and internet sectors.
